Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

This depends on where you live, and more specifically, how many trees are close to your house. Most houses would need their gutters cleared just once a year, however if you're surrounded by a lot of trees (lucky you!), this might need to be closer to every 6 months.

If you have your gutters cleared every year, it doesn't matter when you get them done as they will never have enough time to get completely blocked. Annual cleaning will completely prevent the build up of debris, which can cause broken guttering, damp and mold.

SPRING

Spring showers can be heavy and will wash silt, sand and fine debris from the roof in to the guttering. This debris can block guttering very easily, it weighs a lot and provides a perfect bed for seedlings to take root.

SUMMER

Summer will bring growth! This is when you will notice plants and moss growing out of your gutters. This will block the flow of water completely and with every summer rain shower, it won't take long for it to overflow.

AUTUMN

Autumn means one thing - leaves! Leaves and stronger winds means your gutters are likely to fill up fast; especially if you have trees near your home. Mix this with autumnul downpours and you end up with rotten sludge filling up your gutters!

WINTER

By winter, the contents of your gutters will be decomposing and will already be slowing down the flow of water, if not stopped already. This will all freeze in the colder weather, which will add considerable weight and strain to your gutter system. This can easily lead to leaks and breakages, which will be costly to fix.

It doesn't matter the time of year, if your guttering hasn't been cleaned out within the last year, we would highly recommend getting in touch. We can take photos to show you the condition of your guttering.

You will not need traditional scaffolding for a roof clean. We will provide a small tower scaffold, which will be put up by us and taken down as soon as the work is completed, meaning you are not left with unsightly scaffolding for any longer than necessary! This is included in our price.
